Risen, Reigning, Relentless

Here’s where the Emmaus story brings us: Two men walked a road of disappointment, but they didn’t walk it alone.  The risen, reigning, relentless King Jesus walked it with them. He met them in their confusion. He corrected them in their misunderstanding. And He revealed Himself in a moment of grace that set their hearts on fire. He still does that.  He still walks with disciples who don’t have everything figured out.  He still opens the Scriptures.  He still opens eyes.  He still transforms “We had hoped…” into “He is alive!”
